Artsrun Sanasari Asatrian was born in 1993 in Spitak, Armenia. From the age of ten, he attended the School of Fine Arts, an experience that had a profound impact on his life. Each new lesson deepened his passion for art and strengthened his desire to grow as an artist. Alongside his formal education, he studied privately in the studio of artist L. Hakobyan, whose mentorship helped refine his skills and further awaken the artist within him.
In the summer of 2009, Asatrian was admitted to the P. Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts in Yerevan, a defining milestone in his artistic journey. Over the years, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and has been the recipient of several awards. For him, art is not merely a profession—it is a way of life.
The works of great masters of world art have played a significant role in shaping his artistic vision. To paint, for Asatrian, means to create and to bring goodness into existence through the spirit of creation. He draws inspiration from everything around him, especially from nature, which deeply influences his inner world. Although landscapes appear rarely in his work, nature is ever-present as a source of emotion and inspiration.
Asatrian primarily works in a painting style enriched with cubist solutions, with Cubism serving as his main source of inspiration. His artworks are largely dominated by women and figurative characters. The female figure occupies a special place in his art, symbolizing purity, love, clarity, and truth. His characters are rooted in reality yet remain connected to the universe, a distant connection he believes is guided by God—granting humanity the power and ability to create beauty.
Currently living and working in his homeland, Artsrun Sanasari Asatrian continues to translate his emotions, reflections, and pursuit of beauty onto canvas and paper, creating a world of art meant for future generations and for humanity as a whole.
