Mateos Sargsyan, born on October 12, 1962, in Artashat, Armenia, is an accomplished Armenian artist known for his expressive use of color and form. He graduated in 1981 from the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute after Khachatur Abovyan, where he honed his skills in painting and sketching. Since 1986, Sargsyan has been an active participant in art exhibitions, showcasing his work both locally and internationally.
Sargsyan’s art has captured the attention of collectors worldwide. His works are held in private collections in cities such as Yerevan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, as well as in various European and American locations, including the Netherlands, France, Germany, the United States, and Great Britain. Known for his vibrant compositions, Sargsyan’s work reflects a deep connection to Armenian cultural heritage while embracing a contemporary aesthetic that resonates with audiences globally.
