Two legendary warriors clash in dynamic combat across a densely hatched background of interlocking lines and vivid color fragments. The Armenian hero Hayk draws his bow with fierce determination, while the armored Bel advances with sword and shield — both figures rendered in brilliant mosaic-like patches of orange, yellow, gold, and blue. A circular medallion bearing a pomegranate tree crowns the left figure, rooting the mythological duel in Armenian cultural identity. Painted with extraordinary graphic energy in oil on canvas by Meliq Khazaryan, this work transforms ancient epic into vibrant, explosive contemporary art.
