A weathered wooden pier leads the eye into a quiet lake bordered by tall golden reeds, lush, green trees and drifts of lilac wildflowers in this fresh, plein-air style landscape. Thick palette-knife strokes of mint, turquoise and soft rose turn the water and sky into a shimmering pastel veil, while scratched lines add the delicate movement of grass in the breeze. Martin Mushkambaryan captures the stillness and lightness of a spring morning by the water, with great spontaneity. A calming and refreshing painting for nature lovers, it brings tranquility to any living room, bedroom, spa or office.
