A solitary figure sits curled and bound, wrapped in a single white cord that winds around the body from head to foot. Liana Asatryan renders the form in warm ochres, amber, and burnt sienna, glowing against a deep black void that isolates the figure in silent space. The stylised face, tilted and half-closed, carries an ache of weariness and quiet endurance. Layered, textured brushwork lends the body a sculptural weight, while the encircling line speaks to themes of constraint, vulnerability, and the longing for release. Both intimate and universal, the work is a powerful meditation on the human condition — the burdens we carry and the resilience that holds us together.
