Four hat-wearing musicians dissolve into a swirling ocean of cobalt and teal, their white-outlined figures barely containing the energy of the performance. Two burnished cellos and a saxophone glow in deep amber and orange — warm, resonant forms against the cool blue ground — while spiralling white lines trace the invisible paths of sound through the air like musical notation come alive. Splashes of white and orange punctuate the surface with wild, joyful abandon. This is jazz at full volume — exhilarating, loose-limbed, and absolutely impossible to ignore.
